SALEM, W.Va. -- Point Park softball opens a stretch of six games in four days on Thursday with a doubleheader at Salem. Point Park will then host doubleheaders against Fairmont State on Saturday and Frostburg State on Sunday.

The Pioneers (6-11, 2-2 MEC) went 3-3 last week, splitting doubleheaders against Walsh, West Liberty and Wheeling. The Pioneers won their last game against Wheeling in comeback fashion, scoring six runs in the seventh inning in a 9-6 decision.

Six different Pioneers recorded RBIs in the seventh inning on Monday: Cam Mann, Emma Henry, Shania Cope, Payton Haller, Kaylee Fabiano and Mia Arndt. Mann, Henry, Fabiano and Arndt, who homered to lead off the first inning of the game, all hit RBI doubles.

Salem (8-11) enters off a sweep over Ohio Christian in a doubleheader. The Tigers split their doubleheaders with both West Liberty and Wheeling over the weekend, posting a -1 run differential.

Fairmont State (12-6, 4-0 MEC) is a winner of four straight, having swept Davis & Elkins and West Virginia Wesleyan over the weekend. Emma Paul was named MEC Co-Player of the Week on Monday. Paul tallied five hits and eight RBIs over the week and posted a .643 slugging percentage.

Frostburg State (15-1, 4-0 MEC) has not lost a game since Mar. 1. The Bobcats swept Davis & Elkins and WV Wesleyan over the weekend with a run differential of +21. FSU's Gracie Nelson was named MEC Co-Player of the Week and Izabella Donaldson was named MEC Co-Pitcher of the Week.Â

Gianna Welsh leads the team in slugging (.581), OB% (.447), OPS (1.028) and walks (seven). Welsh ranks 16th in the MEC in OPS and 18th in slugging. She is tied with Cam Mann for second on the team lead in home runs with one.

Mia Arndt leads the team with three home runs and 14 stolen bases. Arndt hit two home runs last weekend, and has yet to be caught stealing this season.

Cam Mann is second on the team in OB% at .386 and leads the Pioneers with 13 RBIs on the season. Mann is one RBI better than second-place Jana Hess. Mann and Hess are the only Pioneers to boast a perfect fielding percentage (minimum 50 chances). Mia Arndt boasts a .980 fielding rate over 51 chances.Â

Freshman Julia Johnson leads Point Park in strikeouts (30), ERA (4.85) and innings pitched (56.1). Johnson ranks 11th in the MEC in strikeouts and 16th in ERA. Johnson is 12th in the conference in strikeouts and is tied for ninth in wins.
