PITTSBURGH -- Point Park women's lacrosse fell to Charleston on Wednesday night at Highmark Stadium 15-6. The Pioneers are 3-7 (1-3 MEC) on the campaign.
The Golden Eagles (7-5, 3-1 MEC) opened the game with seven unanswered goals, and would go on to lead by as many as 12 goals in the contest.
Andrea Kinger, the reigning MEC Player of the Week, led the Pioneers with three goals and four points. Kinger's four shots on goals also paced Point Park on Wednesday, and her five shots tied for the team lead with Tessa Hueber.
Kiley Leasure, Gracie Favela and Tessa Hueber all tallied, with Favela, Taylor Desko and Ava Miller all adding assists.
The Pioneers outscored Charleston 5-2 over the last 25 minutes of the game, with Kinger scoring three times and Favela and Leasure both denting the twine.
Alyse Weber scored four goals on the night, a game high. Sylvi Jenner led the contest with her four assists and 6 points.
