BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. -- Point Park's Akeem Mustapha and Mya Greschner were both named MEC Track & Field Athlete of the Week, presented by The Health Plan, the conference announced on Monday.

Mustapha, the men's Athlete of the Week, set a Point Park record in the 100m last Thursday at the Shippensburg Mid-Week PR Bonanza with his time of 10.49 seconds. Mustapha holds Point Park's record in the long jump at 7.89 meters, which he set en route to being named MEC Athlete of the Week on Apr. 6.

Mustapha also tied his personal-best mark in the high jump of 1.95 meters - good for second-place in Pioneer history. He has cleared the mark three times with the first two being at the 2025 MEC Championships and at the Dave Labor Invitational on Apr. 4.Â

Mya Greschner took first place in the 400m last Thursday with her time of 56.06 seconds. Greschner improved on her second-best time in program history. Greschner, a Pittsburgh native, was the MEC Indoor Champion in the 400m.

Greschner split the honor with Jeanna Pelissier of Davis & Elkins.

Point Park track & field returns to action on Sunday for the 2026 MEC Outdoor Championships in Morgantown, W.Va. The Pioneers' men's and women's teams both took second place in the 2026 MEC Indoor Championships.
