CALIFORNIA, Pa. -- Point Park volleyball was downed by California (PA) in three sets on Tuesday at the Convocation Center. The Pioneers dropped to 0-7 on the season with the defeat.

Cal U took the three sets by scores of 25-23, 25-13 and 25-23.The Vulcans posted a hitting percentage of .296 to only .117 for Point Park.Â

Nicole Reasbeck led the Pioneers with her 11 kills and tied for the team lead in points with Marianna Oyola-Rivera at 11.5. Oyola-Rivera added seven kills of her own and led the team with 16 assists. She was one of two Pioneers with double-digit assists, being joined by Brooke Bednarski who recorded 13.

Mia Arndt, who was named to the Wheeling Quad All-Tournament Team on Tuesday, led the match with 15 digs.

Olivia Weiseman of Cal led the match with 13 kills and 14.5 points. Molly Smiddy's 19 assists were good for the game high.

Point Park will take on Salem on Thursday in the team's final road match before next week's home opener. Opening serve is scheduled for 6 p.m.
