WHEELING, W.Va. -- NCAA Division II No. 7 ranked Wheeling Jesuit University showed its strength in Tuesday night's win over Point Park University, 121-82, in a non-conference men's basketball game.

Wheeling Jesuit (3-0), already with double-digit wins over Slippery Rock and East Stroudsburg, stayed undefeated by building on its 56-42 halftime lead over the Pioneers (0-4).

For Point Park, it was another tough matchup in a difficult start to the season. The Pioneers have taken losses to NAIA Division II No. 1 St. Francis (Ind.), NAIA Division I No. 19 Pikeville (Ky.) and now NCAA Division II No. 7 Wheeling Jesuit.

Point Park had some early turnover problems and got down by 20 points in the first half. But it nailed eight 3-pointers the first 20 minutes and was able to cut into the lead by halftime.

The outside shots that fell in the first half didn't go as well for the Pioneers after halftime. The Pioneers made 3 of 13 treys coming in as Wheeling Jesuit pulled away.

Senior guard Sa'iid Allen led the Pioneers with 20 points and made 4 of 9 from long range. Junior guard Gavin Rajahpillay, a transfer from Hagerstown CC, finished with 19 points, five rebounds and five assists.

Newcomer Asim Pleas, a guard from Youngstown, Ohio, added 10 points to give the Pioneers three players in double digits. Jaylen Mann chipped in eight points and tied with Art Christian with a team-high six rebounds.

For Wheeling Jesuit, Preston Boswell led five players in double digits with 23 off the bench. Chase Lawson added 20 points as he and Boswell combined to make eight of the Cardinals' 14 3-pointers on the night.

Point Park gets right back into action Wednesday night (Nov. 16) at PSU-Fayette with an 8 p.m. tipoff. After that game, the Pioneers are off until their home opener next TuesdayPioneers on social media @PointParkSports on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram hashtag #PPUMBB #PPUHOOPS
