PITTSBURGH – Five Point Park University women's soccer players scored goals en route to a 7-0 River States Conference victory over Brescia (Ky.) University Sunday at Highmark Stadium.
Izzy Hunter scored within the first five minutes of play on an assist from Audra Lewis, which led to a breakaway to put the Pioneers on the board, 1-0. Hunter scored her second goal unassisted in the 21st minute.
Freshman Morgan French scored in the 12th minute off a pass from Gabby Widman and later returned the favor, assisting on Widman's goal in the 19th minute off a corner kick.
Point Park (6-5, 3-1 RSC) was up, 4-0, over the Bearcats (1-12, 0-4 RSC) heading into the locker room at halftime.
Lewis and Bella Wilson added goals at the 51' and 88' marks respectively, and Widman's second goal in the 52nd minute made the final score, 7-0. Hunter added an assist on Lewis' goal.
The Pioneers' defense did not allow a single shot on goal, making for a smooth day for Ashtyn Webb and Morgan Willis who split time in the net.
