The Pioneers lead the RSC standings by 1.0 game over No. 25 IU Southeast and Rio Grande by 1.5 games as the weekend begins. It is the final weekend of the conference regular season for all teams. Point Park is aiming for the RSC regular season championship with a sweep of Brescia.

The River States Conference Baseball Tournament is next week, May 5-9 in Chillicothe, Ohio, at VA Memorial Stadium. The Pioneers are looking for a top seed in the six-team, double-elimination tournament, which has its champion automatically qualify for the NAIA Baseball National Championship Opening Round.
