THE MATCHUP
Point Park is 5-5 overall, 2-1 RSC. The Pioneers are still among the RSC East Division leaders despite at 95-87 loss to No. 11 WVU Tech at home last Saturday in its most-recent conference game. Point Park can continue its stake in the division with a key RSC East victory. Point Park bounced back with a 74-71 home win over Washington Adventist on Monday.
Rio Grande is 5-6 overall, 0-2 RSC and in need for a conference win. The RedStorm has started out with losses to No. 7 IU East and Ohio Christian but is a solid 2-2 overall at home. Rio Grande's last game was Saturday, a 114-52 non-conference win over OSU-Mansfield.
THE SERIES
Point Park is 9-4 versus Rio Grande since 2005, but that includes a road loss at Rio Grande, 90-69, in February 2018. Point Park won at home last year, 81-79, on a buzzer beater. 
ON THE PIONEERS
Point Park is second in the RSC in scoring defense at 75.0 ppg. The Pioneers own the No. 1 3-point defense in the country at .270, and they are ninth nationally with 9.7 steals per game. Point Park is 18th in the nation with 10.5 made treys per game with the offensive attack led by Justice Cuthbertson (15.2 ppg), Daniel King (13.1 ppg), Asim Pleas (12.4 ppg) and Kyle Carrington (10.8 ppg). 
ON THE REDSTORM
Rio Grande is the top scoring defense team in the conference at 71.0 ppg. Rio Grande is 11th in the country in rebounding at 43.5 rpg. Gunner Short (12.1 ppg) and Cameron Schreiter (12.1 ppg) are the top scorers and 6-7 forward Earl Russell (9.4 ppg, 7.8 rpg) is an inside force.
