PITTSBURGH -- The Point Park University men's basketball coaching staff showed its support for the NABC Coaches vs. Cancer "Suits And Sneakers" program when it wore sneakers at the home game on Saturday, Jan. 26 versus Alice Lloyd (Ky.).
Pioneers head coach Joe Lewandowski as well as assistant coaches Daryn Freedman and Christian Harbaugh participated in the program, which was being held around the country the week of Jan. 21-27.
"Coaches vs. Cancer Suits And Sneakers Week is a nationwide event when basketball coaches across the country unite for a common cause – saving lives from cancer," according to the National Association of Basketball Coaches. "Coaches and their staff across the nation wear sneakers with their suits during games to raise awareness and help save lives from cancer by raising funds and encouraging people to educate themselves about cancer prevention, screening, and early detection."
