BECKLEY, W.Va. -- Point Park University baseball at WVU Tech on Friday afternoon was suspended in game one of the River States Conference series due to rain. The game was halted in the bottom of the seventh with the Pioneers leading, 4-3. The teams will pick up that game with two outs and WVU Tech up to bat on Saturday at 12 p.m.
The series opener is scheduled for nine innings. After it is completed, the teams will play games two and three of the series. Game two will be nine innings followed by a seven-inning game for the finale. The non-conference game between the teams that was scheduled as the fourth game of the weekend has been cancelled.
Point Park is 4-4 on the year, and WVU Tech is 9-8. Live video and live stats are scheduled for Saturday's games.
