St. Vincent's Nate Yackovich placed first individually with a 1-over 71. He won by two shots over Grove City's Jacob McConnell. Host school CMU did not have a team entry, but its individual participants did take up five of the top 10 spots on the leaderboard.
Saturday's event was separate from Sunday's competition, which will be a new tournament and designated the CMU Spring Invite No. 2. The Pioneers will compete in that tournament as well with a scheduled start time of 1:15 p.m.
