MIDDLETOWN, Ohio -- In a very solid week off the Pioneers' bench, Point Park University sophomore Xavier Prince has nabbed River States Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week for Nov. 30-Dec. 6.
The Pioneers had a couple of big tests on the week with matchups at NCAA Division I programs Kent State and Robert Morris. Prince, a 6-2 guard from Columbus, Ohio, led the Pioneers with 10 points coming off the bench at Kent State. He was 3 for 5 from the field and made 4 of 6 free throws.
In the matchup at Robert Morris, he had a solid game off the bench with six points and four rebounds in 13 minutes. He made his only field-goal attempt of the night, a tough putback for a strong lay-in underneath.
In the two games, Prince averaged 8.0 points and 3.5 rebounds, shot 67 percent from the field and made 8 of 12 free throws to lead the Pioneers.
