GAME 1 -- POINT PARK 10, ALICE LLOYD 2
The Pioneers broke a scoreless tie with five runs in the top of the fourth, and they added four more in the top of the ninth to build on a 5-2 lead. In between, Easton Klein pitched 8.0 strong innings with 10 strikeouts to get the win.

Klein had it working putting up zero's in the first five innings he worked. Along with racking up the strikeouts, he let defense work for him. Klein got plenty of groud balls, and the Pioneers turned a pair of double plays with Omar Morillo, Carlos Martinez and Isaac Santana combining in both of those.

It was a triple by Alice Lloyd's Noah Dingess as the only big threat to Klein all day. It brought in two runs in the sixth to cut the score to 5-2 but was one of just five hits given up by Klein.

Point Park's five-run fourth had five hits. Carlos Burroughs got it started with a two-run double. It was already the fourth hit of the inning. Jared Campbell delivered a big hit later on to drive in Burroughs.

Justin Oakley and Martinez drove in runs with base hits in the ninth. In between, Morillo laid down a but, beat it out and brought in a run.

Point Park had 12 hits in the game versus three Alice Lloyd pitchers. Burroughs led the way going 3 for 5 with a pair of runs. Michali Brito and Oakley had two hits apiece, as did Martinez. Morillo scored three runs and was on base four times.

GAME 2 -- POINT PARK 14, ALICE LLOYD 3
The Pioneers blasted 20 hits and four homers to win the second game. The 20 hits came in just seven innings, which the game was scheduled for as the second game of a conference doubleheader.

Point Park was facing a 2-0 deficit when it came to bat in the top of the second. Isaac Santana, who was 4 for 4 with four RBIs in the game, got things going for Point Park with a solo homer with one out. It was the first of his two homers on the day.

The hits kept coming in the second as base knocks by Michali Brito and Justin Oakley were followed by Carlos Burroughs with a three-run homer. That gave a 4-2 lead and was the first of two three-run bombs in the game for Point Park. The second one was Santana's smash in the fifth inning.

Point Park got eight runs in that fifth inning barrage. The first eight batters reached with Jared Campbell the fourth of those with an RBI double. After an error, Jordon Campbell drove in two with his double. Santana came next with his three-run homer high and deep to dead center. Brito then made it back to back with a solo shot to left field.

There were 11 different Pioneers who had a hit in the game. Burroughs and Morillo were both 3 for 5. Brito was 2 for 3 with two RBIs and two runs. Jean Santos came off the bench to go 2 for 2 with a double and a run.

Point Park had four pitchers cover the 7.0 innings. Javier Cardoso pitched the first 2.0 innings but had to leave early in the third when he took a liner off the leg. Ramon Rodriguez came into throw 3.0 innings and get the win.

Point Park's bullpen combined to give up just two hits in five shutout innings. Rodriguez started that off with three scoreless on one hit, four strikeouts and no walks. Wendy Senvil pitched the sixth inning facing four batters, and Kenneth Rolon cleaned up in the seventh working around a one-out single with a double play to end it.

The Point Park defense was strong again with another couple of double plays turned by Martinez and Morillo up the middle. The Pioneers did not have an error all day, and the outfield chased down some potential hits as well.
