MIDDLETOWN, Ohio -- Justin Oakley from Point Park (Pa.) University is the River States Conference Baseball Player of the Week presented by Brown & Brown Insurance for April 3-9.
Oakley, a senior outfielder from Ft. Washington, Md., batted .500 going 9 for 18 on the week. That included six extra-base hits with three homers, two doubles and a triple. Oakley led the Pioneers to a 5-1 week and victories that clinched series wins over Ohio Christian and IU Southeast. He was 3 for 4 with a double in the series finale versus OCU. In the weekend series versus IU Southeast, he was 4 for 10 with a double, triple, homer and three RBIs. The midweek game had Oakley at 2 for 4 with two homers and four RBIS versus W&J.
