RICHMOND, Ind. -- Point Park University men's golf is in second place of 11 teams after Round 1 of the Earlham (Ind.) Forest Hills Invitational on Saturday. Troy Loughry leads the tournament individually after firing a 3-under 68 with six birdies on the day.
Point Park shot 303 as a team to place second through 18 holes. Franklin College shot 293 to lead the tournament with Spalding in third place after a 307.
Loughry took a one-shot lead over Jacob Paine of Franklin, who shot 69. Loughry came in with a 32 shooting 3-under on the back with four birdies. He had 10 pars on the day as well.
Anthony Santilli was in a tie for seventh place after shooting 3-over 74. Tharcisse Kalinda was in a tie for 15th after a 77 (+6). Tyler Hillard made the Point Park score with an 84.
The final round is Sunday with Point Park in the final grouping starting at 11:00 a.m.
