PITTSBURGH - The Point Park men's and women's cross country teams will compete at the MEC Cross Country Championships on Saturday morning at Oglebay Resort's Crispin Golf Course located in Wheeling, West Virginia.

Men's Storylines
- The Point Park men's cross country team last competed at the 22nd Annual Carnegie Mellon Invitational back on October 12 where the Pioneers took 4th place overall.
- At the CMU Invitational the Pioneers were led in the race by Luke McKenna who placed 3rd overall with a time of 25:34.40.
- The MEC Cross Country Championship will be the sixth race of the year. Besides the CMU Invitational the Pioneers competed at the West Liberty Invitational (4th out of 9), RMU Colonial Invitational (6th out of 10), 23rd Annual Lock Haven Cross Country Open/Invitational (11th out of 26), and the 23rd Annual Greater Louisville Classic (3rd out of 21).
Women's Storylines
- The Pioneers are coming into the MEC Cross Country Championship following a 3rd place finish at the 22nd Annual Carnegie Mellon Invitational.
- During the CMU Invitational Cassondra O'Connor finished first with a time of 18:32.0 in the 5k race where she edged out fellow MEC runners Leigha Hall (West Virginia Wesleyan) and Natalie Barr (Glenville State).
- O'Connor has been named the Mountain East Conference Runner of the Week three times this season.
- Point Park's highest finish of the year came at the 23rd Annual Greater Louisville Classic back on October 5 where they finished 2nd out of 24.
