PITTSBURGH – Frostburg State edged Point Park with a goal in the 47
th minute of Saturday's Mountain East Conference matchup at Highmark Stadium.
Frostburg broke the scoreless tie on a goal by Carlos Quintero Rivas, his eighth goal of the season. Hugo Portillo assisted on the goal.
The Pioneers held a 17-14 advantage in total shots, while Frostburg State had a 9-8 edge in on-target shot attempts. Both teams were awarded five corner kicks.

Ruben Kuypers led the Pioneer offense with two on-target shot attempts in the game.
David Ali made seven saves and gave up just one goal in the 1-0 loss. Jan Foret earned the win for Frostburg State after turning away eight saves in the clean-sheet victory.
Point Park (5-9-1, 3-9-1 MEC) will now hit the road to take on Davis & Elkins on Wednesday evening. Kickoff is set for 4:30 p.m.
