Women's Soccer Scheduled to Host Concord on Wednesday Afternoon

PITTSBURGH- The Point Park women's soccer team will host Concord on Wednesday afternoon for a MEC matchup at Highmark Stadium. Kick-off is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. over in Station Square.

Storylines
  • The Pioneers have gone 0-2-1 over their last three matchups, sitting at a 5-4-2 overall record and a 4-3-1 record in the Mountain East. Point Park is tied for second place in the North Division with Frostburg State. Both teams have 13 points on the season.
  • In Point Park's last matchup, the Pioneers battled to a 2-2 draw with the West Virginia Wesleyan Bobcats in Buckhannon on Sunday afternoon. Rebecca Pihlgren scored her seventh goal of the season in the first minute of the matchup while Paula Sole scored her fourth of the season in the 19th minute.
  • Pihlgren remains tied for second with Tiana Campbell (Concord) and Montserrat Diaz (Fairmont State) in the Mountain East in goals scored. The freshman is averaging .636 goals per game through 11 games played.

  • The Pioneers are third in the conference in points, Point Park has recorded 73 points on 29 goals and 15 assists and are averaging 6.64 point per game led by Pihlgren who is fourth in the conference with 15.
