COLLEGE PARK, Md. – The Point Park women's basketball team opened its 2025-26 campaign with a 120-35 loss to No. 10 Maryland in a DI exhibition game in College Park on Thursday night.
The Lady Terps made 60 percent of their field goals (48-of-80) and made nine 3-pointers in the win. The hosts also held a 43-22 advantage on the glass.
Point Park struggled offensively, shooting just 29 percent from the floor (12-of-41), including 5-of-17 from three. The Maryland defense forced the Pioneers into 41 turnovers.
Camille Fultz led the Pioneers with 12 points and three rebounds in the game. The Pioneers also got five points apiece from
Alexis Giles and
Amaya Richardson.
Fatim Sarr Ndow pulled down a team-high six rebounds in the game.
Maryland had seven double-figure scorers, led by 19 points from Oluchi Okananwa and 16 apiece from Ava McKennie and Isimenme Ozzy-Momodu.
Point Park will open the regular season on Wednesday, Nov. 19 at Shippensburg. The Atlantic Region matchup is set for a 6 p.m. tip.
