PITTSBURGH- A converted penalty kick in the 78
th minute by
Guy Lehrer and an incredible save by
Gregorio Capponi gave Point Park a 2-1 win over West Liberty at Highmark Stadium on Wednesday night.
Point Park's
Fridolin Gefrorer opened up the scoring in the match in the 36
th minute, finding the back of the net off an assist from Guiherme Galvao to give the Pioneers a 1-0 lead.
Two minutes later West Liberty answered back with a goal of their own in the 38
th minute as Leyton Collier scored the equalizer making it 1-1 going into the half.
Neither team would score again until Point Park drew a penalty kick in the 78
th minute.
Guy Lehrer took the kick for the Pioneers, finding the back of the net for his first goal of the season.

th minute Point Park keeper
Gregorio Capponi called game, saving the penalty kick by Leyton Collier to seal the win for the Pioneers.
With the win, Point Park moves to 5-5 overall and 5-3 in league play while West Liberty falls to 3-5-3 overall and 2-4-2 against MEC opponents. Point Park heads back on the road this weekend as the Pioneers travel to West Virginia Wesleyan to take on the Bobcats on Sunday afternoon.
