SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. – The Point Park women's basketball team suffered its first loss of the 2025-26 season on Wednesday afternoon, dropping a 74-52 final to Shepherd University at the Butcher Athletic Center.
The Shepherd defense led the Rams to victory, holding Point Park to just 34 percent from the floor (20-58) and forcing 29 turnovers in the win. The Rams scored 29 points-off turnovers.
On the offensive end, Shepherd shot 40 percent (32-80) from the floor with seven 3-pointers.
Point Park held a 58-39 advantage on the glass.
With leading scorer
Lexi Adams limited to just six minutes in the game, Point Park got a team-high 15 points and 10 rebounds from
Elizabeth Boyd.
Alexis Giles chipped in 11 points.
Lucia Hervia was closing in on a double-double with seven points and 10 rebounds, while
Camille Fultz and
Sophia Moore scored six points apiece.
Kamryn Pieper pulled down nine rebounds.
Lamaria Estridge finished the afternoon with 23 points and four rebounds to lead Shepherd.
After a short break for the Thanksgiving holiday, Point Park will return to action on Wednesday, Dec. 3 against Wheeling University in MEC play. Tip is set for 5:30 p.m.
