75 Point Park Student-Athletes Earn MEC Academic Honors

BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. – Point Park University had 75 student-athletes earn academic recognition from the Mountain East Conference on Friday afternoon with the announcement of the Fall 2024 Academic All-MEC Team and Commissioner's Honor Roll.

MEC student-athletes qualify for the Academic All-MEC Team by earning a 3.70 to 4.00 grade-point average during the Fall 2024 semester. Student-athletes who earned a GPA between 3.25 to 3.69 qualified for the Commissioner's Honor Roll. The honorees include student-athletes from fall sports, including men's and women's cross country, men's and women's golf, men's and women's soccer and volleyball at Point Park.

The Point Park men's and women's soccer teams had 23 student-athletes recognized on each roster, while volleyball had 11 honorees. Women's cross country and men's cross country had 10 and seven honorees, respectively. Gabriela Wait was also honored from the women's golf team.

Of the 75 Point Park student-athletes that were recognized, 55 had a grade-point average of 3.70 or higher to earn Academic All-MEC recognition.

League-wide, 1,242 MEC student-athletes earned recognition on the Academic All-MEC Team and Commissioner's Honor Roll, including 692 with a GPA of 3.70 or higher.
