SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. – A trio of Point Park baseball standouts earned National College Baseball Writers' Association (NCBWA) All-Atlantic Region honors on Friday afternoon, the voting committee announced.
Point Park was represented on the first team by second baseman
Omar Morillo and center fielder
Jared Campbell. Shortstop
Crixtian Taveras was named to the second team.
Morillo, a senior from Venezuela, hit .351 on the season with seven home runs, 13 doubles and 38 runs batted-in. Morillo had 74 hits, 51 runs scored and 15 stolen bases while slugging .521 during the 2025 season. He was named first team All-MEC this season.
Campbell, a senior from Sunrise, Fla., batted .385 with 19 home runs and 63 RBIs during the 2025 season. He had an .811 slugging percentage and 1.323 OPS as a senior. Campbell was also named the MEC Player of the Year, earned first team All-MEC as an outfielder, and was named the MEC Tournament MVP last week as Point Park won the MEC Tournament Championship in its first season as a member of the league.
Taveras, a senior from Long Beach, Calif., batted .352 with eight home and 49 RBIs in 2025. He also recorded 15 doubles, had 11 stolen bases and finished the year with a .574 slugging percentage. Taveras was named second team All-MEC this spring.
