Three Top 5 Finishes Headline Day 1 at ECAC/IC4A Championships

FAIRFAX, Va. – The Point Park track & field teams turned in three top-5 finishes on day one of the ECAC/IC4A Outdoor Championships hosted by George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia.
 
Collins Eze headlined day one for the Pioneers with a fourth-place finish in the high jump with a mark of 1.95m. In the men's 3000m steeple, Jannik Windelband finished fifth with a time of 9:23.43. Additionally, Dunya Van den Tooren finished in a tie for fifth in the women's high jump with a mark of 1.64m. 
 
In the 110m hurdles prelims, Kamar Sutherland finished second in his heat with a school-record time of 14.23 seconds. He qualified for Sunday's final with the third-fastest time in the event during prelims.
 
Maxwell Goode also finished with a top-10 mark of 6.98m in the long jump, a mark that ranks fourth in school history.
 
In addition to her fifth-place finish in the high jump, Van den Tooren finished 11th in the long jump, while Emma Roemer finished 12th in the 100m hurdles. Diamond Rush also turned in a pair of top 20 finishes in the 100m prelims (15th place) and 400m run (19th place).
 
Day two of the ECAC/IC4A Outdoor Championships begin at 11:30 a.m. on Sunday.
