PITTSBURGH – The Point Park men's wrestling team will travel to Alliance, Ohio on Sunday to compete in the Purple Raider Open hosted by Mount Union University.
 
The Pioneers return to action for the first time in over five weeks due to the holiday break.
 
In their last outing, the Pioneers dropped a tri-meet against Mountain East programs Fairmont State and Wheeling on Dec. 5. In their last "invitational" competition, Point Park competed at the Shorty Hitchcock Invitational back on Nov. 15 at Millersvile.
 
Aiden Burford led the Pioneers at Millersville, going 2-2 at the event with a fall and major decision in the first two rounds. Additionally, Jacob Kehrer won by fall in the opening round of the 157 bracket at the event.
