PITTSBURGH - The Point Park University Department of Athletics is thrilled to announce a department grade-point average of 3.42 for the Fall 2025 semester.
"I am incredibly proud of our student-athletes who showed outstanding dedication to their academic work while also juggling their practice and competition schedules week in and week out during the fall semester," said VP of Athletics
Scott Swain. "We additionally have a tremendous group of coaches and resources on campus that are in place to help our students succeed. It is very gratifying to see the results in the classroom from our Pioneer student-athletes."
The success in the classroom includes 16 of 19 sports accomplishing a team grade-point average of 3.0 or higher. Furthermore, 10 Point Park varsity athletics teams recorded a team GPA of 3.50 or higher in the fall.

"Point Park continues to be committed to providing our student-athletes with the resources and opportunities to help them not only excel in their respective sports, but also to focus and maintain excellence in their academic studies."
The women's program with the best team grade-point average in the fall was women's lacrosse at 3.75. Men's programs were led by a 3.68 from men's golf.
The following programs also recorded a 3.50 or higher team grade-point average during the fall: women's soccer (3.72), men's soccer (3.67), women's golf (3.67), softball (3.60), men's cross country (3.60), women's cross country (3.59), women's track & field (3.56) and women's basketball (3.52).
