PITTSBURGH – After the third-straight road games and the holiday break, Point Park women's basketball returns home to host the University of Charleston in Mountain East
Conference action at CCAC on Thursday. The late afternoon tip is set for 4 p.m.
Point Park is coming off a high-scoring 110-98 defeat at Glenville State on Saturday, Jan. 3. In the setback,
Camille Fultz finished one point shy of a career-high with 25 points to go with eight rebounds and two assists.
Sophia Moore also made seven 3-pointers and finished the game with 21 points.
Charleston comes into the game with a 6-6 record after an impressive 69-61 win over defending MEC Champion Fairmont State last Saturday.
Storylines
- Fultz is leading Point Park at the offensive end this season, averaging 14.3 points to go with 5.1 rebounds per outing. Fultz has reached double-figures seven times this season, including two 20-point scoring performances.
- Elizabeth Boyd is second on the team in scoring this season, averaging 11.9 points and a team-high 8.3 rebounds. Boyd is also leading the team in field goal percentage (.505), assists (25) and steals (9).
- In seven games and six starts this season, Alexis Giles is averaging 11.7 points and 2.4 rebounds per game.
- Point Park is leading the MEC in rebounding this season, averaging 45.4 per game. The Pioneers are also second in league in blocked shots (3.9), third in rebounding margin (6.9) and fourth in field-goal percentage defense (.408).
