Pioneers Look to Rebound at Concord

ATHENS, W.Va. - Point Park women's basketball hopes to return to winning ways on Saturday when it visits Concord. Opening tip is scheduled for 2 p.m. 

The Pioneers fell to 6-13 (3-11 MEC) on Wednesday night, losing to Glenville State 82-68. The Pioneers were led by Elizabeth Boyd, who posted a double-double with 16 points and 15 rebounds. Boyd was one of three Pioneers to reach double figures with Camille Fultz adding 15 and Alexis Giles scoring 13.

Concord (13-7, 8-4 MEC) ranks fifth in the MEC and boasts a 7-3 record at home. The Mountain Lions have a 6-3 record in 2026, and posted a 78-64 win over Point Park on Dec. 17 at CCAC-Allegheny.

Storylines:

  • Camille Fultz leads Point Park in scoring, averaging 15 points per game, good for eighth in the MEC. Fultz scored 15 points in Wednesday night's game. She has scored in double figures in all but four contests this season, including in 10 of her last 11 games. Fultz passed the 1,000-point scoring mark back on Dec. 3 against Wheeling.

  • Elizabeth Boyd is averaging 8.7 rebounds per game, which places her in fourth place in the MEC. She has 7 double-doubles and three 20-point scoring performances this season. Boyd posted a double-double with 16 points and 15 rebounds Wednesday night. 

  • Kamryn Pieper and Boyd both rank in the top four in the MEC in blocked shots. Pieper leads the conference at 1.4 per game, while Boyd ranks fourth at 1.1. Pieper has 25 blocks on the season, while Boyd has 21, highlighted by her four-block game vs Salem.

  • Alexis Giles has started 87 of her 98 career games and surpassed the 1,000-point mark back on Jan. 17. She now sits at 1,087 career points. Additionally, Giles reached 1,000 total steals in her career against Davis & Elkins on Feb. 2.

  • As a team, Point Park leads the MEC in both blocked shots per game (4.32) and in rebounding (43.3) The Pioneers posted three blocks and 56 rebounds against Glenville State.
