BARTOW, Fla. – Point Park softball looks to find its rhythm in the Sunshine State this week, playing 10 games in six days at the Bartow Sports Complex.
The Pioneers enter the trip still searching for their first win of the season after dropping both opening doubleheaders against Ursuline and D'Youville.

Queens College is the only repeat opponent from last year's trip. Point Park earned a 6-1 victory in that matchup.

Sophomore Jana Hess leads the team offensively with a .273 batting average. Mia Arndt and Gianna Welsh are each hitting .250.

Welsh and Arndt both hit their first home runs of the season last weekend.

Welsh, a senior from Bridgeville, Pennsylvania, is slugging .750 and has scored three runs.

Hess leads the team with five RBIs, while Welsh and Cam Mann each have two.

In the circle, Julia Johnson leads the pitching staff with 14 strikeouts in 13 innings pitched. She holds an 0-2 record with a 5.92 ERA.
