Point Park Travels to West Liberty for Four-Game Series

PITTSBURGH – After picking up a historic 7-2 win over Cal (PA) at PNC Park on Thursday afternoon, Point Park will switch its attention back to conference play with a four-game series at West Liberty on Saturday and Sunday afternoon. First pitch is set for 1 p.m. both days.
 
In Point Park's win on Thursday's afternoon, head coach Loren Torres eclipsed the 700-win mark for his coaching career. He currently has a record of 700-358 over his 22-year career, including a 593-254 record as the manager at Point Park.
 
In Thursday's game, Trevor Jones led the Pioneers at the plate with a two-run home runs and a double. He went 3-for-3 in the game while driving in three runs. Blake Ewing also recorded a pair of hits and drove in a run in the win.

  • Currently on a four-game winning streak, Point Park has a record of 20-10 on the season, including an 11-5 mark in MEC play. The Pioneers are 4-2 on the road this season and have won six of their last eight in MEC play.
