PITTSBURGH -- Point Park men's lacrosse fell to Lake Erie on Tuesday evening 13-12 at Highmark Stadium in the team's final game of its inaugural season. Point Park finishes the campaign with a 3-10 (3-7 G-MAC) record.

The Pioneers started out strong, taking an early 4-1 lead thanks to goals from Grant Huber, Sawyer Leko, Braydan Stearns and Xavier Williams. Leko and Tigran Ceesay added assists over the stretch.Â

Leko led the Pioneers in goals (3), assists (5) and points (8). He recorded the most assists and points by a Pioneer in a single game this season. He was one of seven Pioneers to score a goal and one of four to score multiple goals. Ceesay, Williams and Stearns all scored braces with Huber, Zak Marshall and Bowersox all denting the twine. Ceesay added two assists, with Williams and Alec Batchelor both recording assists.Â

The Storm (4-10, 4-6 G-MAC) scored four unanswered goals to take a 5-4 lead, but goals from Stearns, Bowersox and Marshall brought the score to 7-5 PPU with 3:28 to go in the first half.Â

Lake Erie and Point Park exchanged 3-0 runs with Ceesay scoring twice and Leko tallying for Point Park to give PPU a 10-8 lead. Leko and Ceesay each scored a man-up goal over the stretch.Â

The Storm would go on a 4-1 run from 4:18 in the third until 2:49 in the fourth quarter to give them a lead they would not surrender.

Connor Boyle tallied five saves on the night, and Landon Carlson was a dominant 20/23 from the faceoff circle on Tuesday, with Bowersox going 5/6. Carlson led the team with 15 ground balls - the most by a Pioneer in a single game all season.Â

Billy Coughlin led the Storm with three goals, tying with Robert Weil. Andrew Cramer's 6 points led Lake Erie.Â
