PITTSBURGH -- Point Park softball plays host to Salem on Wednesday for a non-conference doubleheader. First pitch of game one is slated for 3 p.m. at Fairhaven Park.

Point Park (9-29, 3-17 MEC) was swept by top-seeded Charleston on Saturday before splitting with West Virginia State on Senior Day, Sunday. Mia Arndt hit a double and a home run in Point Park's 5-4 win over the Yellow Jackets. Arndt was one of four Pioneers to record an RBI, with Ava Hubble pacing PPU with two and both Gianna Welsh and Emma Henry adding one. Henry hit an RBI double in the bottom of the first and an RBI single in the second. 

Salem (14-27) took the second game of its doubleheader against WV State on Saturday to earn a split and end a nine-game losing streak. The Tigers had not won since their 10-2 win over Ohio Christian University on Apr. 7 before picking up the 3-0 win. 

Point Park and Salem split their doubleheader on Mar. 26, with the Pioneers winning game one 6-5 before falling 6-4 in game two. Shania Cope and Ava Hubble both had three hits in the Pioneers' win, with Mia Arndt and Emma Henry adding two apiece. Henry's two RBIs led the team.

• Mia Arndt leads the team with her .492 slugging percentage, her .873 OPS and her .315 average. Arndt has hit a team-best five home runs and has stolen 27 bases. Arndt is second in the MEC in stolen bases.

• Gianna Welsh leads the team in on-base percentage at .408. Welsh's OPS of .819 is second on the team, and her six doubles tie her for third most on the squad with Emma Henry.

• Cam Mann's 21 RBIs lead the Pioneers, and her .800 OPS is second on the team. Mann boasts a slugging percentage of .440 - second only to Mia Arndt. 

• Jana Hess is second on the team with 14 RBIs and leads the team in fielding percentage (minimum 100 chances) at .996. Mann's fielding percentage is .973 over 147 chances, and Mia Arndt boasts a .972 fielding rate across her 107 chances. 

• Emma Henry is third on the team among qualified batters in OB% at .348. Henry is tied for seventh in the MEC with her two triples.

• Freshman Julia Johnson leads Point Park in strikeouts (58), ERA (5.46) and innings pitched (132.0). Johnson ranks 10th in the MEC in strikeouts. Johnson is 13th in the conference in wins with 6.

• Point Park features five players with a minimum of 90 at bats and an average over .250: Mia Arndt (.315), Cam Mann (.310), Emma Henry (.308), Ava Hubble (.286) and Shania Cope (.260).
