WHEELING, W.Va. -- Point Park fell to Wheeling 17-6 on Wednesday in the team's final game of its inaugural season. The Pioneers close the season with a 5-12 (2-8 MEC) record.

Andrea Kinger led the Pioneers in goals with her hat trick. Kinger's 3 points tied with Gracie Favela for the team lead. Favela, Tessa Hueber and Bryn Adey all scored for Point Park, with Favela and Kiley Leasure adding assists. Favela's two assists led the team.Â

Wheeling (9-8, 6-4 MEC) opened the game with a 9-0 start before Kinger got the Pioneers on the board with 5:28 remaining in the second quarter. The Cardinals took an 11-1 lead into halftime which they would not surrender.Â

Kinger led the team with seven shots and seven shots on goal. Her shot total tied with Leasure for the team's best. Alexandra Hrkach snagged six ground balls and five draw controls - both team highs.Â

Sophia Cirone led the game in both assists (eight) and points (11). Trinity Rose recorded a game-high five goals to go with her two assists and eight shots.Â
