BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. -- Point Park's Andrea Kinger and Erik Ingram were named the 2026 MEC Freshman of the Year and Coach of the Year, respectively, the conference announced on Sunday evening.
Kinger, who was named to the All-MEC Second Team and All-Freshman Team, was second in the MEC in goals per game (3.13), points per game (4.87) and shots per game (7.07). Her 1.73 assists per game were good for fifth place across the conference. Additionally, Kinger was sixth in the conference in ground balls per game at 2.67 and averaged 2.73 draw controls per game - ranking 10th best in the MEC.
Kinger was named MEC Player of the Week on both Mar. 2 and Mar. 30.
Ingram led Point Park to a 5-12 record in the program's first season in NCAA Division II. The Pioneers boasted five games with over 15 goals, and scored 20+ on three separate occasions. Point Park finished one spot shy of the MEC Tournament. After the season, four Pioneers were named to the MEC All-Conference teams.
