MORGANTOWN, W.Va. -- Point Park track & field will compete in the 2026 MEC Outdoor Championships from Sunday to Tuesday at Mylan Park.
The Pioneers' men's and women's teams both finished second at the 2026 MEC Indoor Track & Field Championships in February. Akeem Mustapha and Dunya Van den Tooren were both named MEC Championship MVP at the event.
Point Park combined for 12 top-five finishes in program history at the Shippensburg Mid-Week PR Bonanza last Thursday. Akeem Mustapha and Jonah Schneider both set program records in the 100m and discus, respectively. PPU totaled 39 top-10 finishes over the single day of action.
Mustapha also tied his personal record in the high jump, which is good for second in program history. Mya Greschner improved on her second-best time in the 400m at the invitational. Mustapha and Greschner were both named MEC Track & Field Athlete of the Week on Monday.
USTFCCCA WEEKLY POLL
Point Park's women's team currently sits in eighth place in the Atlantic region U.S. Track & Field Cross and Country Coaches Association poll for week four. The Pioneers have been in the top 10 in every poll. Point Park's men's team remained in 11th place in the poll, just shy of the top 10.
