MORGANTOWN, W.Va. -- Point Park track & field crowned four MEC Champions on Tuesday in the final day of the MEC Outdoor Championships. Akeem Mustapha was named Men's MVP and Track Athlete of the Year, and Dunya Van den Tooren was named Women's Field Athlete of the Year.
Both Point Park's men's and women's team took second place on the day, with the men tallying 93 points and the women tallying 166.
Akeem Mustapha, who was also named MVP at the 2026 MEC Indoor Championships, earned All-MEC Second-Team honors in the 100m on Tuesday with his time of 10.80 seconds. Mustapha was named All-MEC Honorable Mention in the triple jump with his third-place finish. Mustapha set a mark of 13.87 meters. He won the MEC title in the long jump on Monday with his 7.34-meter mark. He also took fifth place in the high jump with his mark of 1.90 meters. Mustapha added 18 points to the team's total with his finishes on Tuesday.
Dunya Van den Tooren completed her sweep of the women's jumps on Tuesday when she captured the MEC Championship in the triple jump. Van den Tooren's mark of 11.83 meters is good for second place in Pioneer history. She won the long jump (5.70 meters) and high jump (1.65 meters) on Monday. Van den Tooren was named MVP at the MEC Indoor Championships.
GRESCHNER GREATNESS
Mya Greschner took home two MEC crowns and set three program records on Tuesday. Greschner, who was named MEC Women's Track & Field Athlete of the Week last Monday, was MEC Champion in the 400m with her program-record time of 55.75 seconds. Greschner continued her dominance in the 400m, having captured the MEC Title at the 2026 MEC Indoor Championships.
Greschner was also a member of the 4x400m relay team which captured MEC gold with its 3:52.74 finish. She anchored Aubrey Smith, Olivia Hutcherson and Diamond Rush as the team set a program record. The team set the 58th-best time in all of Division II athletics.
Grescher was a member of Point Park's record-setting 4x100m relay team as well. The team of Greschner, Diamond Rush, Addalynn Brower and Emma Roemer recorded a time of 47.78 seconds - good for fourth place.
MEC-CHAMPION KAMAR
Kamar Sutherland successfully defended his MEC Championship in the 110m hurdles on Tuesday with his time of 14.54 seconds. Sutherland set a program record in the preliminaries on Monday with his 14.14-second time.
ON THE PODIUM
Aubrey Smith took second place in the 800m for an All-MEC Second Team nod. Smith improved on her third-best time in program history with her 2:15.51 finish.
Khady Ndiaye achieved a mark of 11.64 meters in the triple jump - good for a nod to the All-MEC Second Team. Ndiaye added 8 points with the finish, and she holds PPU's record in the event at 12.09 meters.
Jonah Schneider was named an All-MEC Honorable Mention in the discus with his 43.47-meter mark. Schneider holds Point Park's record toss of 44.92 meters.
Emma Roemer took third place in the 100m hurdles for an All-MEC Honorable Mention. Roemer's time of 14.69 seconds added 6 points. She holds the program record in the event at 14.32 seconds.
Diamond Rush added another 6 points for Point Park with her All-MEC Honorable Mention finish in the 400m. Rush finished the event in 58.04 seconds - good for a third-place finish. She took third place in the event at the 2025 MEC Outdoor Championships as well.

FINAL STANDINGS
Point Park took second place in both the men's and women's team standings. Charleston captured first place in both. Charleston and Point Park were the top two in both men's and women's at the 2026 MEC Indoor Championships
Point Park's men scored 93 points - 2.5 better than West Liberty. Charleston scored 223 in its win.
The Pioneers scored 166 points in the women's standings, beating third-place WV Wesleyan by 102.5 points. Charleston's women scored 186 points.
