Point Park Bows Out of MEC Baseball Tournament

CHARLESTON, W.Va. – Point Park bowed out of the 2026 Mountain East Conference Baseball Tournament, dropping games by 14-8 and 2-0 finals on Friday afternoon and evening at GoMart Ballpark.
 
With the losses, Point Park ends the season with a record of 30-22.
 
Game 1 - Frostburg State 14, Point Park 8
 
In game one, Frostburg State opened up a a 5-0 lead after two innings and never looked back in the high-scoring 14-8 win.
 
The Bobcats finished the game with 17 hits, including two triples and five doubles. Ryan Bouma went 5-for-5 with five RBIs. Drew Jourdan went 4-of-6 with three RBIs.
 
Point Park finished the game with 12 hits, including a home run by Trevor Jones and doubles by Chris Williams and Sebastian Hernandez. Williams drove in three runs and had a stolen base.
 
Harold Boyce (9-4) suffered the loss, pitching four innings in the start. He allowed nine runs on eight hits.
 
Game 2 - Glenville State 2, Point Park 0
 
In the second game of the day, Point Park struggled at the plate with just three hits. Chris Williams recorded a double, while Felix Gonzalez and Sebastian Hernandez each recorded singles.
 
Glenville took an early 1-0 lead following an RBI single by Ashton Crace in the bottom of the first. GSU pushed its lead to 2-0 on an RBI single by Greyson McNeill in the fifth.
 
Ethan Parker (3-4) recorded a solid outing for the Pioneers, allowing just two runs on three hits while striking out 10. Ramon Rodriguez recording the final five outs in the game, three of which were strikeouts.
