PITTSBURGH -- Point Park baseball earned a 2025-26 American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) Division II Team Academic Excellence Award, presented by Sports Attack, the association announced Thursday.
The Pioneers posted a team grade-point average of 3.30. Teams must record a GPA over 3.0 on the 4.0 scale to qualify.
Point Park has now received an Team Academic Excellence Award in both of its two seasons of NCAA Division II athletics, having received the honor in the 2024-25 season as well.
Award Criteria

Must be a high school or college team

Head coach must be a current ABCA member

Team must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale for the 2024-25 academic year

The American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA), founded in 1945, is the primary professional organization for baseball coaches. Its over 15,000 members represent all 50 states and 41 countries.
