PITTSBURGH – The Point Park University Department of Athletics and Moe's Southwest Grill have announced a sponsorship agreement for the 2026-27 athletics season.
 
As an official sponsor for Point Park Athletics, Moe's Southwest Grill will be the presenting sponsor for the "Moe's Southwest Grill Pioneer Athlete of the Month." The monthly award winner will be selected on the 10^th of each month to honor the on-field success of a men's and women's student-athlete from one of Point Park's 20 athletics programs.
 
"We are thrilled to extend this longstanding partnership with our local Moe's Southwest Grill locations," said Vice President of Athletics Scott Swain. "We are looking forward to teaming with Moe's to honor the on-field success of our student-athletes with this monthly recognition. Moe's will also be a vital part of our game day promotions throughout the season."
 
The agreement also includes in-season promotions at athletics events, including "Make it a Moe's Monday" and other special promotions. The game day promotions will be announced at a later date.
 
"Over our 20 years of serving the Pittsburgh region, we've always maintained the belief that it is our obligation to give back to the communities we serve", said locally based Moe's Franchisee Mike Geiger.  "Point Park and its student population contribute so much to the dynamic environment of Market Square, we are thrilled to extend our relationship with the University to new levels of athletic and academic engagement". 
 
This agreement incorporates the following Moe's Southwest Grill locations which are independently owned and operated by Big Plan Group LLC in the greater Pittsburgh area: Bethel Park; Washington; Bridgeville; Murrysville; Cranberry; Oakland; Wexford; Market Square; Robinson; Monroeville; and in Erie: Millcreek Marketplace and W. 12th Street.
