Alisa Favero-Lucarelli is perhaps the best point guard ever to play for Point Park women’s basketball. She is the Pioneers’ all-time leader in assists and is a Top-10 all-time scorer. Favero scored 1,180 points and totaled a school-record 416 assists from 1988-93. She also shows up in the school record book in fourth place with a 73.6 career free-throw percentage, sixth with 108 games played and eighth with 108 3-pointers made. An NAIA scholar-athlete, Favero led the Pioneers to the NAIA District 18 playoffs as a senior and stayed on as an assistant coach after graduation. She was a four-year starter for the Pioneers. She is from Pittsburgh and a graduate of Seton LaSalle, where she won a state championship. Favero married Point Park baseball standout Joe Lucarelli.
