Fiori was a second-team All-American in 1979 to help Point Park finish third in the nation. Fiori’s incredible senior season of 1979 also included the second-best batting average in the country as well as first-team honors in NAIA Area 8 and NAIA District 18. After a career in which he was a two-year team captain, Fiori was drafted by the Chicago Cubs in the 13th round. He went on to play in the N.Y. Penn, Carolini and Western Carolina leagues.
