PIPPA PASSES, Ky. -- Point Park University volleyball cruised to a 3-0, KIAC win at Alice Lloyd (Ky.) College on Friday night. The victory improves the Pioneers to 8-3 in the KIAC entering the regular-season finale on Saturday at conference opponent Asbury (Ky.).
Point Park beat Alice Lloyd by scores of 25-7, 25-7, 25-7. The Pioneers had three players with double-digit kills with Megan Branchick 12, Nikki Inquartano 11 and Shiloh Simonson 10.
Point Park served 15 services aces, and it was setter Madison Weldon who had a team-high eight aces to go with 23 assists. Inquartano had four aces, and Simonson had three.
In the final match of the regular season at Asbury (21-12,9-2 KIAC), Point Park can overtake third place from the Eagles with a victory. Asbury is currently in third place in the conference with Point Park one game behind in fourth.

With a win at Asbury, Point Park would be the No. 3 seed in the upcoming KIAC Tournament Nov. 13-14 at Rio Grande (Ohio). A loss would drop the Pioneers into a three-way tie with Rio Grande (8-4 KIAC) and IU Southeast (8-4) with seedings determined by tiebreakers.
