PITTSBURGH – The Point Park volleyball team will play its final road match of the 2025 regular season against Fairmont State on Tuesday evening at Joe Retton Arena.
Fairmont State enters the match with a record of 21-9. The Falcons are currently second in the MEC North standings with a mark of 8-4 in league play.
Point Park hosted Fairmont State at the Student Center back on Oct. 10, falling in three sets to the Falcons.
Alex Koontz and
Avery Budrys Rini recorded 10 kills apiece for the Pioneers, while Joey Borelle led FSU with 12 kills and eight digs.
Storylines
- Nicole Reasbeck is lead the Pioneers in both kills (263) and hitting percentage (.165) this season. Reasbeck ranks fifth in the MEC in kills per set.
- Avery Budrys Rini is second on the team in both kills (235) and digs (218).
- Alex Koontz is third on the team in kills with 171.
- From her setter position, Marianna Oyola-Rivera has a team-high in assists (690), digs (230) and aces (34). Oyola-Rivera ranks second in the MEC in assists per set and is sixth in aces per set.
- Point Park has two players with over 50 blocks this season, including Patricia Calero-Irizarry with 57 and Savannah Kitchen with 54.
