ADRIAN, Mich. – Point Park University faced a tough NAIA No. 18-ranked Siena Heights (Mich.) team, but could not recoup the deficit and lost, 2-0, Saturday.
The only losses for Point Park (3-2-1, 1-0 KIAC) this season were handed down from NAIA top-25 ranked teams.
The Saints (6-1) out-shot Point Park 17-6, striking first on a goal by freshman Taylor Mulder in the 17th minute on a cross from sophomore Samantha Bartelotti to make the score 1-0.
Siena Heights held a 5-1 corner kick advantage over Point Park.
Point Park senior goalkeeper Erica Roney (3-2-1) had nine saves for the Pioneers.
Siena Heights senior Madison Phillips scored the unassisted game-winning goal in the 49th minute to clinch the 2-0 victory for the Saints.
