RICHMOND, Ind. -- Point Park University women's soccer has a pair of River States Conference games this weekend beginning Thursday evening at IU East at 5:00 p.m.. The Pioneers also play at Ohio Christian on Saturday at 2:00 p.m.

It's a key weekend for the Pioneers, who are 6-5 overall, 3-1 RSC. The conference race has many teams vying for the top spots with just a few weeks to go in the regular season. Point Park enters the weekend within 1.0 game of first place and needs a solid couple of games to stay in the thick of the race.

Thursday's matchup at IU East (5:00 p.m.) pits the Pioneers versus the first-year Red Wolves program. IU East is 4-6-1 overall, 0-2-1 RSC and has played tough against conference competition so far.

Saturday's trip to Ohio Christian will be a rematch of last year's RSC Tournament championship game, which was won by Point Park, 2-0, on the road. The Trailblazers are 4-6-1 overall, 1-2-1 RSC this year. They picked up their first conference win of the year, 3-1, over Carlow at home Thursday afternoon.
