PITTSBURGH -- Point Park University women's soccer will host University of Rio Grande (Ohio) in the River States Conference Championship Semifinals on Wednesday, Nov. 9. Kickoff is 6:00 p.m. at Highmark Stadium.

Admission is Free of everyone on general admission. A fan shuttle is available departing campus starting at 5::15 p.m. with looping service all night. Point Park ID is required for the fan shuttle.

Point Park is the No. 1 seed at 9-0-1 RSC. The Pioneers engineered an unbeaten regular season in RSC play and have the right to host throughout the playoffs. At 10-6-1 overall, the Pioneers are undefeated in their last 10 games.

Rio Grande is 4-10-2 overall and 4-4-2 RSC. The RedStorm have had to overcome adversity this year, so its record is below .500 overall. But Rio Grande evened its conference record to earn the No. 5 playoff seed. The RedStorm then pulled a slight upset when it went to Oakland City (Ind.) and won, 2-1, in overtime in the quarterfinals.

Point Park defeated Rio Grande, 5-0, at home during the regular season. That matchup was on Senior Day Oct. 22. Chanell Britten had the first goal followed by two more by Holly Pascoe. The Pioneers led, 2-0, at halftime before Pascoe added her second goal and Athena Beck tacked on two more on topo of that.
