PITTSBURGH – The Point Park men's track and field team turned in three Top 10 finishes on Saturday as the Pioneers had student-athletes in action at two separate events, including the Dr. Sander Scorcher Invitational in Bronx, N.Y. and the Ashland Collegiate Invitational in Ashland, Ohio.
Akeem Mustapha finished eighth in the long jump "invitational" event with a mark of 6.92m. In the long jump "open" event,
Maxwell Goode finished third with a mark of 6.77m. The PPU men also placed sixth in the 4x400 relay with a time of 3:33.30.
In the mile run, two Point Park runners turned in Top 5 times in program history.
Jannik Windelband tuned in a time of 4:17.69 to rank second in school history.
Aike Van der Lei turned in the fifth-fastest time in program history with a time of 4:28.45.
The Pioneers also shined in the shot put, with
Chevaughn Fletcher taking 13
th (13.93m) and
David Attram placing 19
th (13.15m).
