PEPPER PIKE, Ohio – Ursuline edged Point Park women's basketball in overtime, 80-74, to wrap up the 2025 portion of each team's schedule on Saturday afternoon at Seidman Gymnasium.
Point Park opened up a 17-10 lead early, but Ursuline cut the lead to just two points to end the first quarter.
Both teams exchanged points the rest of the contest with 16 lead changes, before the Arrows ultimately won the contest in the extra session.
With the win, Ursuline moves to 3-8 overall, while Point Park drops to 3-6.
Ursuline outshot the Pioneers 40.5%-to-34.8% from the floor. The difference in the second half and overtime was the points in transition as Ursuline had 14 points compared to Point Park's three on the fast-break.
Alexis Giles led the Pioneers in points with a season-high 20 points.
Elizabeth Boyd recorded her fourth double-double of the season, finishing with 11 points and 12 boards. The Pioneers had four players in double figures as
Camille Fultz dropped in 19 and
Teshaya Anderson added 11.
Kailey Minch led the Arrows in scoring with 28 points, going 5-9 from beyond the arc. Courtney Barwick had 18, while Chalon Miles and Ajia Schreffler each added 13. Lyla Oliver led Ursuline with 12 rebounds.
Ursuline held a 51-44 edge on the glass.
Saturday's game wrapped up Point Park's 2025 portion of its schedule. Following the holiday break, PPU travels to Glenville State on January 3
rd, before returning home on Thursday, Jan. 8
th to host the University of Charleston in conference play.
