YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – Elijah Bechdel's school record performance in the 5000m headlined Point Park's performance at the 2025 YSU Icebreaker event on Friday. Bechdel turned in a time of 15:10.90 to set the school record and finish ninth in the event.
 
Luke McKenna also turned in an impressive performance in the 5000m event, placing 12^th with a time of 15:16.29. McKenna's time was the second-fastest in school history.
 
Additionally, Pedro Lemos finished fourth in the mile with a time of 4:19.21, Aike Van der Lei placed fifth in the 3000m with a time of 8:55.55, and Kamar Sutherland took 10^th in the 60m hurdles event (8.34). Lemos' time in the mile ranks third in school history.
 
In all, Point Park turned in nine marks that ranked within the Top 5 in program history (see below).
