YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – The Point Park men's track and field team turned in four Top 10 finishes to highlight day two at the Youngstown State Collegiate Mid-Major on Saturday.
David Attram highlighted the day for Point Park with a runner-up finish in the shot put at 13.85m. He currently ranks third (14.26m) in school history in the event. In the mile,
Jannik Windelband finished fourth with a time of 4:20.43. He currently ranks second in school history in the event with a PR of 4:17.69.
Additionally in the mile,
Chase Bowen moved up to fourth in school history with a time of 4:25.39. He finished 13
th in the event.
Windelband also competed in the 800m on Saturday and finished sixth with a time of 1:57.06. The time ranks fourth in school history.
Kamar Sutherland also turned in the top 10 finish on Saturday, finishing seventh in the 60m hurdles with a time of 8.50, while
Akeem Mustapha finished 11
th in the event at 8.59. In the all-time PPU records in the 60m hurdles, Sutherland ranks second and Mustapha moved up to fourth on Saturday.
Aike Van der Lei also added his name to the Point Park all-time list in the 5000m on Saturday, finishing with a time of 8:52.21. The time is the third-fastest in PPU history.
Point Park will return to the track next Saturday at the Sykes & Saybock Challenge hosted by Penn State University in State College.
